An enjoyable but too safe reproduction designed to introduce us to the characters. Now we’ve met them, can we please give our unlikely heroes a meatier, more substantial adventure to go on next time around?

It’s not that My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 doesn’t have its entertainment value, it’s just it needed to keep the familiarity while cleverly making things fresh.
Zoolander 2 is a cheap knock-off of its haute couture 2001 comedy gem. The only positive is getting to see Derek and Hansel back together, so a small victory for Stiller and Owen, nevertheless.
A bizarre political affair with a nasty after-sting. The humour arises from the ridiculous bordering on shameful scenarios that leave a bittersweet taste.
Heart-warmingly funny because Ferrell and Walhberg deliver what’s expected of them. A shame it doesn’t get riskier or more poignant with the spectrum of emotion such a situation richly offers up to make it hit home that much more.
Wonderful extremes too, from wildly absurd, laugh-out-loud moments to totally shocking brutality, often throwing you off course. The ending does let it down a bit as the effect of the brilliant set-up of this crazy dual existence seems to wane.
Life is grim in times of austerity, especially for those facing their autumn years in life. So what better than an uplifting film from the Nancy Meyers’ collection of ‘cosy life stories’ that embraces the more mature in the technology world. Yes, it may seem a little far-fetched in reality as we all know over …
One big bag of entertainment, doing exactly as it sets out to do, unashamedly, and well worth the ticket price for sheer titillation.
