War Dogs ***

Far from perfect and a wannabe imitation of a Scorsese film it aspires to be. However, Phillips has started ‘something’ of interest here, if he can just combine is skill of crafting bromances with a more developed and pitch-black script in the near future.

Triple 9 **

There is little else of memorable substance, although it’s perfectly watchable, complete with gory and impressive action set-pieces too. It’s certainly not all bad, but could be far darker and daring in story and spirit than its cinematography.

Spectre ****

Retro-sexy Bond complete with blast from the baddie past.
